The Memmert UF30plus universal oven has the same external dimensions and the same 32-litre interior as the base model UF30, but works with dual sensors: two Pt100 sensors monitor each other, and if one fails, the second automatically takes over the function. In addition there are AutoSAFETY, an adjustable temperature monitor or adjustable temperature limiter selectable on the display, and a visual and audible alarm.
Compact housing with dual sensors
Externally, the UF30plus hardly differs from the base model: the same external dimensions, the same easy-care, deep-drawn ribbed 32-litre interior with 4-sided all-round heating, plus a segment-specific, electronically controllable air turbine in 10 per cent steps and the admixture of preheated fresh air via the exhaust air flap. The difference lies in the measurement technology: two DIN class A Pt100 sensors measure in 4-wire technology and back each other up, and if one fails, the process continues with the second sensor.
Two displays, one operating concept
The ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY works with an adaptive PID microprocessor controller and two high-resolution TFT colour graphic displays. Three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C. Programmes can be created, managed and transferred with AtmoCONTROL via the Ethernet interface or the USB port, and the programme sequence is retained in the event of a power failure. If the process time is to start only after the setpoint temperature has been reached, the SetpointWAIT function does this automatically.
Safety concept despite a small chamber
The mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off at about 20 °C above the maximum oven temperature. In addition, an adjustable temperature monitor (protection class 3.1) or an adjustable temperature limiter (protection class 2) can be activated on the display. The AutoSAFETY function monitors over- and under-temperature, automatically follows the setpoint at an adjustable distance and reports deviations visually and audibly, and a self-diagnosis system also helps with troubleshooting.
Guide to choosing: is the second sensor worth it?
For simple drying tasks, the base model UF30 with SingleDISPLAY and one Pt100 sensor is often sufficient. Anyone who needs two sensors that monitor each other, AutoSAFETY and a selectable second temperature monitor chooses the UF30plus. If more volume is needed with the same protection, take a look at the size table below for the UF55plus or UF75plus.
