Memmert universal oven UF750mplus, 749 l, +20 to +300 °C, TwinDISPLAY

With 749 litres, the Memmert universal oven UF750mplus is the second largest version of the mplus series and stands mobile and lockable on castors. As a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, it is intended exclusively for heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy, and laboratory applications are not included.

TwinDISPLAY control for large chambers

Two redundant Pt100 sensors of DIN class A monitor each other in 4-wire measurement, and in the event of a fault the second sensor takes over automatically. The temperature can be set to an accuracy of 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C, displayed and operated via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays. Using the AtmoCONTROL software, programmes can be created, managed and transferred via the Ethernet interface or USB port, and the programme sequence remains stored in the event of a power failure. The air turbine can be controlled in 10 % steps, and HeatBALANCE readjusts the heating power between the upper and lower heating group between -50 and +50 % if required.

Safety at high load

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at about 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. Optionally, an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can be activated on the display. AutoSAFETY follows the setpoint at a freely selectable distance and raises an optical and acoustic alarm if it is exceeded or undershot, supported by a self-diagnosis system for fault finding and three freely calibratable temperature values.

Load, connection and installation

Two grid shelves are included in the scope of delivery, and up to 14 shelves in total fit into the chamber. 30 kg per shelf and 300 kg total load are permissible. The UF750mplus requires 400 V with 3 x 230 V without neutral conductor at 50/60 Hz and about 7,000 W. With a net weight of around 217 kg, the internal dimensions are 1,040 x 1,200 x 600 mm and the external dimensions 1,224 x 1,720 x 784 mm. The device stands on castors as standard and can be locked, and it may only be transported upright.

Distinction: physiotherapy device and laboratory oven UF750plus

The laboratory device of the same size is the Memmert universal oven UF750plus with 749 litres and TwinDISPLAY, intended for laboratory and industrial applications such as drying or tempering and without a medical intended purpose. In the same size and with the same intended purpose, the Class I medical device version is the UF750m, in the SingleDISPLAY version with one Pt100 sensor. The UF750mplus, by contrast, has the TwinDISPLAY and two Pt100 sensors that monitor each other, plus the adjustable temperature monitor or adjustable temperature limiter selectable on the display and AutoSAFETY, as well as the HeatBALANCE function.

Choosing: UF750mplus or UF1060mplus?

The next smaller size is the UF450mplus with 449 litres. The next larger Memmert universal oven UF1060mplus has the same internal width and height of 1,040 x 1,200 mm and likewise up to 14 shelves, but is 850 instead of 600 mm deep internally and carries 60 kg per shelf. The total load is 300 kg for both, and with an external depth of 1,035 mm the UF1060mplus needs more floor space than the UF750mplus with 784 mm.
