Memmert universal oven UF110mplus, 108 l, +20 to +300 °C, TwinDISPLAY

The Memmert universal oven UF110mplus is a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 with the intended purpose of heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. With 108 litres of internal volume and an internal width of 560 mm, it is larger than the UF75mplus with 74 litres, and two grid shelves are included as standard.

TwinDISPLAY, sensors and HeatBALANCE

Two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A monitor each other in 4-wire measurement and automatically take over the function of the other in the event of a fault. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C, and the setting temperature range extends from +20 to +300 °C. Control is via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays, and the HeatBALANCE function allows fine adjustment of the heating power distribution from -50 to +50 % between the upper and lower heating group. Programming and documentation are done via the Ethernet interface or USB port with the AtmoCONTROL software, and the digital countdown timer can be set from 1 minute to 99 days.

Safety for everyday practice

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at around 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, and an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can also be selected on the display. The additional AutoSAFETY monitoring automatically follows the setpoint at a freely selectable distance and triggers a visual and audible alarm in the event of deviation. A self-diagnosis system helps with fault finding, and three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated.

Loading, connection and dimensions

2 electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard, and up to 5 shelves are possible. The permissible total load is 175 kg at 20 kg per shelf. The UF110mplus is connected at 230 V with approx. 2,800 W or at 115 V with approx. 1,800 W, in each case 50/60 Hz. The internal dimensions are 560 x 560 x 480 mm and the external dimensions 745 x 864 x 584 mm, with a net weight of around 74 kg.

Distinction: physiotherapy unit and laboratory oven UF110plus

The laboratory unit of the same size is the Memmert universal oven UF110plus with 108 litres and TwinDISPLAY, designed for drying and tempering in laboratories and industry and without a medical intended purpose. In the same size and with the same intended purpose, the Class I medical device available is the UF110m in the SingleDISPLAY version with one Pt100 sensor. The UF110mplus, by contrast, has the TwinDISPLAY and two Pt100 sensors that monitor each other, plus the adjustable temperature monitor or adjustable temperature limiter selectable on the display and AutoSAFETY, as well as the HeatBALANCE function.

Selection guide: when the neighbouring size is a better fit

The next smaller UF75mplus has 74 litres and a 120 kg total load, but with up to six shelves it takes one shelf more than the UF110mplus. More volume and more shelves are offered by the Memmert universal oven UF160mplus with 161 litres, up to eight shelves and a 210 kg total load. The UF110mplus sits in between with 108 litres and a 175 kg total load.
