Memmert universal oven UF1060mplus, 1,060 l, +20 to +300 °C, TwinDISPLAY

With 1,060 litres, the Memmert universal oven UF1060mplus completes the mplus series at the top. It is also a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, intended exclusively for heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. Compared with the next smaller UF750mplus, the chamber depth grows from 600 to 850 mm at the same internal width and height, and the permissible load per shelf rises from 30 to 60 kg.

TwinDISPLAY control for the largest chamber

The chamber is monitored via two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A in redundant 4-wire measurement, and a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C above that can be viewed and set via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays. The HeatBALANCE function allows the heating power distribution between the upper and lower heating group to be adjusted from -50 to +50 %. Programmes can be created and archived via the Ethernet interface or USB port using AtmoCONTROL, and the air turbine controls in 10 % steps.

Safety even with a full load

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at about 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, supplemented by an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 selectable on the display. AutoSAFETY additionally reports deviations from the setpoint optically and acoustically, a self-diagnosis system makes fault finding easier, and three temperature values can be calibrated individually.

Largest model with the highest shelf load

Two grid shelves are included in the scope of delivery, and up to 14 shelves can be inserted. At 60 kg per shelf, the UF1060mplus carries twice as much per level as the next smaller model, and the total load remains capped at 300 kg. It is connected at 400 V and 3 x 230 V without neutral conductor at 50/60 Hz and around 7,000 W. At a net weight of 252 kg, the internal dimensions are 1,040 x 1,200 x 850 mm and the external dimensions 1,224 x 1,720 x 1,035 mm. The UF1060mplus also stands on lockable castors as standard.

Distinction: physiotherapy device and laboratory oven UF1060plus

The laboratory device of the same size is the Memmert universal oven UF1060plus with the same external dimensions of 1,224 x 1,720 x 1,035 mm, intended for drying, heating, tempering and testing and without a medical intended purpose. In the same size and with the same intended purpose, the Class I medical device version is the UF1060m, in the SingleDISPLAY version with one Pt100 sensor. The UF1060mplus, by contrast, has the TwinDISPLAY and two Pt100 sensors that monitor each other, plus the adjustable temperature monitor or adjustable temperature limiter selectable on the display and AutoSAFETY, as well as the HeatBALANCE function.

Choosing: is the largest chamber worth it?

The next smaller Memmert universal oven UF750mplus has 749 litres, the same external width of 1,224 mm and likewise up to 14 shelves, but with an external depth of 784 mm it is considerably less deep and carries 30 kg per shelf. The UF1060mplus is suitable if the greater chamber depth of 850 mm or the higher load of 60 kg per shelf is needed, and the total load is 300 kg for both.
