Memmert universal oven UF75mplus, 74 l, +20 to +300 °C, TwinDISPLAY

The Memmert universal oven UF75mplus is a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, intended for the heating and keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. With 74 litres of internal volume, it is the largest of the three versions with an external width of 585 mm, which also include the UF30mplus and UF55mplus, and two grid shelves are included as standard.

Control via ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY

The UF75mplus is operated via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays. The setting temperature range extends from +20 to +300 °C, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C. Temperature is measured by two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A, which check each other in 4-wire measurement. Programming is done with AtmoCONTROL, connected via Ethernet or USB, together with a digital countdown timer from 1 minute to 99 days and the SetpointWAIT function, which starts the process time only after the setpoint temperature has been reached. With the HeatBALANCE function, the heating power distribution between the upper and lower heating group can be adjusted from -50 to +50 %.

Safety technology according to DIN 12880

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at around 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. If you also need an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2, you activate it on the display. AutoSAFETY adds a second monitoring function that automatically follows the setpoint, with an alarm in the event of deviation, and a self-diagnosis system makes troubleshooting during operation easier.

Loading, connection and dimensions

2 electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are already included as standard, and the unit can be expanded to up to 6 shelves. The permissible total load is 120 kg, still with 20 kg per shelf. Connection is at 230 V with approx. 2,500 W or at 115 V with approx. 1,800 W, in each case at 50/60 Hz. The internal dimensions are 400 x 560 x 330 mm and the external dimensions 585 x 944 x 514 mm, and the net weight is around 66 kg.

Distinction: physiotherapy unit and laboratory oven UF75plus

The laboratory unit of the same size is the Memmert universal oven UF75plus with 74 litres and TwinDISPLAY, intended for laboratory and industrial processes such as drying or tempering and without a medical intended purpose. In the same size and with the same intended purpose, the UF75m is available as a Class I medical device in the SingleDISPLAY version with one Pt100 sensor. The UF75mplus, by contrast, has the TwinDISPLAY and two Pt100 sensors that monitor each other, plus the adjustable temperature monitor or adjustable temperature limiter selectable on the display and AutoSAFETY, as well as the HeatBALANCE function.

Selection guide: smaller or larger?

The next smaller Memmert universal oven UF55mplus has 53 litres, up to four shelves and an 80 kg total load, with smaller external dimensions of 585 x 784 x 514 mm. The next larger UF110mplus offers 108 litres and a 175 kg total load, but with a maximum of five shelves it takes one fewer than the UF75mplus. More shelves are only available from the UF160mplus, with up to eight.
