Memmert Universal oven UF30mplus, 32 l, +20 to +300 °C, TwinDISPLAY

The Memmert Universal oven UF30mplus is the smallest model in the mplus series and a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745. The intended purpose is narrowly defined: heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy, not drying or materials testing in the laboratory. The external dimensions are 585 x 704 x 434 mm, with a further 56 mm in depth for the door handle. The rear panel of the unit needs at least 15 cm of clearance to the wall.

Forced air circulation, TwinDISPLAY and temperature accuracy

An electronically adjustable air turbine distributes the heat in the interior and can be set in 10 % steps, while an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap mixes in pre-heated fresh air. Two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A with 4-wire measurement monitor each other: if one sensor fails, the second automatically takes over its function. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a set temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C, and the setting temperature range extends from +20 to +300 °C. The UF30mplus is operated via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays, and programs can be managed and transferred via the Ethernet interface or USB with the AtmoCONTROL software. A digital countdown timer can be set from 1 minute to 99 days, and the SetpointWAIT function only starts the process time once the set temperature has actually been reached.

Safety according to DIN 12880

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches the heating off at approx. 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. In addition, an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can be selected on the display, and there is also the additional AutoSAFETY monitoring, which automatically follows the set value within a freely selectable range and triggers a visual and audible alarm in the event of a deviation. A self-diagnosis system assists with fault finding, and three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. The HeatBALANCE function, with which the larger models in the series distribute the heating power between the upper and lower heating group, is not part of the standard equipment of the UF30mplus.

Loading, connection and dimensions

One electropolished stainless steel grid shelf is included as standard, and up to 3 shelves are possible. A maximum total load of 60 kg and 20 kg per shelf is permitted. The UF30mplus is connected at either 230 V or 115 V at 50/60 Hz and approx. 1,600 W power consumption. The net weight is approx. 45 kg, and the internal dimensions are 400 x 320 x 250 mm.

Distinction: physiotherapy unit and laboratory oven UF30plus

The laboratory and industrial oven Memmert universal oven UF30plus has the same external dimensions of 585 x 704 x 434 mm and is intended for drying, heating, annealing and testing, but it has no medical intended purpose. In the same size and with the same intended purpose, the UF30m is available as a Class I medical device in the SingleDISPLAY version with one Pt100 sensor. The UF30mplus, by contrast, has the TwinDISPLAY and two Pt100 sensors that monitor each other, plus the adjustable temperature monitor or adjustable temperature limiter selectable on the display, and AutoSAFETY.

Selection guide: is the UF30mplus enough?

The UF30mplus holds up to three shelves with a combined maximum of 60 kg, and the internal dimensions are 400 x 320 x 250 mm. Anyone who needs more shelves or more interior space will find 53 litres, up to four shelves and 80 kg total load in the Memmert universal oven UF55mplus with the same external width of 585 mm.
