The Memmert universal oven UN260mplus holds 256 litres and takes up to nine shelves, and the permissible total load is 300 kg. As a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, its intended purpose is the heating and keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy, and two stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard.
Safety, documentation and communication
A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 disconnects the heating at around 20 °C above the maximum permissible cabinet temperature, and an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can also be selected on the display. AutoSAFETY observes the setpoint at a freely selectable distance and reports deviations visually and audibly, and a self-diagnosis system helps with fault finding. Programs can be managed and transferred via Ethernet or USB with AtmoCONTROL.
Sensors, control and HeatBALANCE
Two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A measure redundantly using 4-wire technology and, in the event of a fault, mutually take over the function of the other. The setting temperature range extends from +20 to +300 °C, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C above that, with control and display via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays. HeatBALANCE adjusts the heating power distribution between the upper and lower heating group by -50 to +50 %.
Dimensions and connection
Internally, the UN260mplus measures 640 x 800 x 500 mm and externally 824 x 1,183 x 684 mm plus 56 mm for the door handle, and the net weight is around 110 kg. Connection is at 230 V with approx. 3,400 W or at 115 V with approx. 1,800 W, in each case 50/60 Hz.
Distinction from the laboratory oven and the SingleDISPLAY version
Without a medical intended purpose, we offer the Memmert universal oven UN260plus with TwinDISPLAY for laboratories and industry in the same size. As a Class I medical device with SingleDISPLAY and one sensor, the UN260m is also available.
Selection guide: the right size
With less volume and a 210 kg total load, the UN160mplus with 161 litres is the more compact alternative. Significantly more capacity is offered by the Memmert universal oven UN450mplus with 449 litres, which also stands on lockable castors and carries 30 instead of 20 kg per shelf.
