For larger quantities of similar small parts, a suitable Hostalen tank is also available, which is used in size 30 for the Select and P models as well.Heating and performanceThe integrated heater ranges from 25 to 80 degrees Celsius with a heating power of 200 watts; the ultrasonic power is 80 watts effective with a peak power of 320 watts. The Easy 30H does not have a drain connection; to empty it, the tank is tilted or the water is scooped out into a separate container. For a unit of this size, this is generally not a disadvantage in everyday laboratory use, as the volume of water remains small. The IP20 protection rating also means that the housing itself is not designed to withstand splashing water; the unit must therefore be placed on a dry surface.Cleaning in day-to-day useA typical cleaning cycle begins by adding the cleaning solution directly into the tank; the appropriate time setting is then selected using the rotary knob, depending on the level of soiling, this ranges from a few minutes to continuous operation. The matching modular cleaning basket 30 (item no. 1108916) has internal dimensions of 198 x 106 x 50 mm and is designed to hold up to 1.0 kg, making it suitable for smaller sample batches, individual sensors or several components at once. A drain tap (G 3/8 inch) facilitates the change of cleaning medium between batches; this connection is not included on the P 30H SE variant.Procedure for analytical cleaningIn practice, the sample is first cleaned of coarser residues at 37 kHz, followed by gentler fine cleaning of more sensitive surfaces at 80 kHz. With a tank capacity of 0.9 l, the Elma Elmasonic Easy 10H is the smallest model in the Easy series and fits on any laboratory bench without compromising on heating.Smallest tank in the Easy seriesThe tank holds 0.9 l; a working volume of 0.7 l is recommended, with internal dimensions of 185 x 80 x 55 mm. The Elma Elmasonic Select 300 meets this need with a tank capacity of 27.5 l and four programmable settings. For the Select series, Elma specifies a patented dry-run protection feature and a safety shut-off after 8 hours of continuous operation. The heating range is from 25 to 80 degrees Celsius with a heating power of 1,200 watts; the timer can be set digitally from 1 minute to 6 hours. The tank of the Elma Elmasonic Select 120 is 195 mm high, 50 mm more than on the Select models 60, 80 and 100. This shows in the fill level, which is 165 mm here, and in the 12.9 litres total volume. The unit operates at 37 kHz, and the effective ultrasonic power is 200 W.Dimensions and basketInternally the tank measures 300 x 215 x 195 mm, with 10 litres of working volume recommended. From the basket floor to the liquid level it is 130 mm. The original accessory basket has internal dimensions of 250 x 190 x 110 mm and can be loaded with up to 7 kg. Externally the unit measures 380 x 300 x 330 mm with lid and weighs 7.7 kg. Compared with the Select 100, the external height grows from 280 to 330 mm, while width and depth stay the same at 380 x 300 mm. The plastic lid in the scope of delivery, turned upside down, serves as a drip tray for a basket.Power in detailThe ultrasonic peak power is 800 W, the heater delivers 800 W, and the total power consumption is 1,000 W. The Select 100 has 150 W effective ultrasonic power, 600 W peak and 400 W heating power, while here each value is higher. The Elma Elmasonic Easy 120H has a tank 195 mm deep in height. With 12.9 litres total volume and internal dimensions of 275 x 215 x 195 mm, it is the first Easy model with a fan and 200 W ultrasonic power. Resinification, adhesive residues, oils and greases are the contamination that Elma names for the series, and laboratory instruments, glass pipettes, and beakers and test tubes are among the items cleaned.Deep tank, high fill levelThe fill level is 165 mm, and 10.0 litres of working volume are recommended.
