Eppendorf Multipette E3 Hand Dispenser, Electronic, 4987000010
Aspirate a volume and dispense it in up to 100 equal steps: the Eppendorf Multipette E3 is an electronic hand dispenser for Combitips advanced. Depending on the tip, it dispenses 1 µL to 50 mL. The E3 works with three modes and is therefore the simpler of the two versions.Three modes for standard tasksDispensing (Dis), automatic dispensing (Ads) and pipetting (Pip) cover the distribution of equal volumes and the single aspiration and dispensing of a volume. Serial dilutions, aspiration and titration are not included. The Multipette E3x with manufacturer number 4987000029 is available for these. Those who mainly dispense do not need the additional modes.Combitips advanced and ViscoTipThe dispenser works on the positive displacement principle and automatically recognises the attached Combitip advanced. There are 9 sizes from 0.1 to 50 mL in 4 purity grades. Depending on the tip, the increments are between 0.1 µL and 50 µL. A ViscoTip is included for viscous liquids. The E3 is operated with a colour display, 8 speed settings and 9 display languages. A motion sensor switches the device off when it is not in use.Typical applicationsDistributing reagents evenly into tubes or platesAliquoting buffers and media in long seriesDispensing viscous solutions using the ViscoTipBattery and power supplyThe lithium-ion battery (3.7 V, 1,200 mAh) charges in approx. 2 hours. According to Eppendorf, one charge lasts for approx. 5 hours. Eppendorf Xplorer Multichannel Pipette, 8-channel, 50–1,200 µL, green, 4861000163
A multichannel pipette fills as many wells in one operation as it has channels. The Eppendorf Xplorer 8-channel pipette for 50 to 1,200 µL has 8 channels and a fixed tip cone spacing of 9 mm. This fits 96-well plates. A motor moves the pistons of all channels simultaneously.Fixed tip cone spacing for 96-well platesThe tip cone spacing is the distance between the centres of adjacent tip cones. For this pipette it is 9 mm and cannot be adjusted. The tips therefore sit in the grid of the plate, and each channel carries its own tip. According to Eppendorf, the colour of the pipette corresponds to the colour of the matching epT.I.P.S. Matching tips: epT.I.P.S. 50 to 1,250 µL, colour code green.Anyone who switches between plate formats with different grids needs a pipette with adjustable tip cone spacing. For this, Eppendorf offers the Xplorer plus Move It.Typical applicationsLoading 96-well plates with samples, reagents or mediaPreparing dilution series across a plateTransferring samples between plates with the same gridFilling rows or columns without pipetting individuallyRepeated plate work in which a manual multichannel pipette causes fatigueOperationControl is via the colour display and multifunction rocker. The rocker follows the principle ‘up is up, down is down’. The motor does the pipetting itself, and the hand only triggers it. The pipette has five pipetting modes (Pip, Dis, Ads, P/M and Man) and eight speed settings. Volumes are set with a step size of 1 µL. The display is available in nine languages. Adjustment is possible according to liquid type, altitude and extended tips, with 1, 2 or 3 points.Battery, power supply and autoclavingThe lithium-polymer battery (3.7 V, 750 mAh) takes approx. 3 hours to charge. According to the data sheet, one charge lasts for up to 8 hours of use. Work can continue while the pipette is on the power supply. The lower part can be autoclaved at 121 °C and 1 bar for 20 minutes, the upper part cannot. The pipette is UV-resistant at 254 nm. The power supply takes 100 to 240 V ±10 % at 50 to 60 Hz and delivers 5 V at 1 A. Mains plug adaptors of types A, C, G and I are included. Software updates can be installed via Micro-USB. The pipette is operated at +5 °C to +40 °C and 10 to 95 % relative humidity. For storage, Eppendorf specifies -5 °C to +45 °C.Technical detailsFeatureValueSeriesEppendorf Xplorer, electronicChannels8Volume range50 to 1,200 µLStep size1 µLTip cone spacing9 mm, fixedPlate grid96-well platesColour codegreenMatching tipepT.I.P.S. 50 to 1,250 µLPipetting modes5Speed settings8DisplayColour display, 9 languagesBatteryLithium-polymer, 3.7 V, 750 mAh, charging time approx. 3 hoursPower supply100 to 240 V ±10 %, 50 to 60 Hz, with mains plug adaptorsAutoclavableLower part, 121 °C, 1 bar, 20 minutesOperating conditions+5 °C to +40 °C, 10 to 95 % relative humidityStorage-5 °C to +45 °CStandardConformity with ISO 8655 according to EppendorfManufacturerEppendorfManufacturer number4861000163Measurement deviationsFor this pipette, Eppendorf specifies 4 test volumes. Eppendorf Research plus single-channel pipette, variable, 1–10 mL, turquoise, 3123000080
The Eppendorf Research plus for 1 to 10 mL is a mechanical single-channel pipette with adjustable volume. The volume is selected in steps of 0.01 mL and read on the four-digit volume display. The colour code turquoise belongs to the matching tip, namely epT.I.P.S. 0.5 to 10 mL.Setting the volumeVolume selection, pipetting and tip ejection are handled by separate controls. The pipette works with an air cushion. The smallest adjustable step is 0.01 mL. Anyone who pipettes preparations in many different volumes manages with an adjustable-volume pipette and does not need a set of fixed-volume pipettes.Tips and colour codeAccording to Eppendorf, the colour of the pipette corresponds to the colour of the matching epT.I.P.S. Here, this is the colour code turquoise for epT.I.P.S. 0.5 to 10 mL. The colour code depends on the tip and not on the pipette volume. The pipette is an open system, and tips from other manufacturers are possible. However, the measurement deviations apply only with original epT.I.P.S.AdjustingThe pipette can be adjusted temporarily. 5 adjustment seals and an adjustment tool (hex key) are supplied for this purpose. Eppendorf Multipette E3x Hand Dispenser with Charging Stand, Electronic, 4987000380
Seven modes and a fixed charging place: this bundle combines the Eppendorf Multipette E3x with charger stand 2. With Combitips advanced, the electronic hand dispenser dispenses 1 µL to 50 mL; the modes include serial dilutions, aspiration and titration.E3x modesIn addition to dispensing (Dis), automatic dispensing (Ads) and pipetting (Pip), the E3x has Sequential Dispensing (Seq), aspiration (Asp), Aspirate and Dispense (A/D) and titration (Ttr). Serial dilutions, supernatants and titrations can thus be handled on the same device. If Dis, Ads and Pip are enough, the E3 with charger stand (manufacturer number 4987000371) is the alternative.Stand, power supply and batteryCharger stand 2 charges the dispenser at the workstation. One power supply with plug adapters powers the dispenser and the stand. The lithium-ion battery (3.7 V, 1,200 mAh) charges in approx. 2 hours. According to Eppendorf, one charge lasts for approx. 5 hours. For this, Eppendorf states at least 500 aspirations and 10,000 dispensing steps (test conditions: Combitip advanced 10 mL, speed 5, 20 steps per aspiration, 500 µL per step). Eppendorf Research plus single-channel pipette, fixed, 1,000 µL, blue, 3124000121
A fixed-volume pipette has only one value, and that is exactly what its usefulness is based on: the Eppendorf Research plus for 1,000 µL always dispenses this volume. It cannot be adjusted and therefore cannot be changed by accident. The pipette is mechanical, works with an air cushion and is fully autoclavable. The colour code blue indicates the matching tip, namely epT.I.P.S. 50 to 1,000 µL.When a fixed volume makes senseA fixed value is worthwhile for work steps that never change: the same addition to every preparation, the same amount of buffer in every vessel. Anyone who switches between several volumes is more flexible with an adjustable-volume pipette. Anyone who performs the same step every day saves the setting with the fixed-volume pipette.Colour code and tipsAccording to Eppendorf, the colour of the pipette corresponds to the colour of the matching epT.I.P.S. For this pipette, the tip epT.I.P.S. 50 to 1,000 µL belongs to the colour code blue. Some nominal volumes are available in two colours, which belong to different tips. Colour code and tip should therefore be compared before ordering. The pipette is an open system, and tips from other manufacturers are possible. However, the measurement deviations apply only with original epT.I.P.S.Spring-loaded cone and adjustmentThe tip cone is spring-loaded. A locking ring supplied with the pipette deactivates the spring loading. The pipette can be adjusted temporarily. 5 adjustment seals and an adjustment tool (hex key) are supplied for this purpose. It is possible to return to the factory adjustment without calibration.Typical applicationsAlways the same addition of 1,000 µL to many vesselsStandard and control solutions with a fixed preparation volumeReaction mixtures in which a reagent is always added in the same amountRoutine protocols in which the volume is specifiedWorkstations where several fixed-volume pipettes stand side by side in the standAutoclaving and resistanceThe entire pipette may go into the autoclave at 121 °C and 1 bar for 20 minutes. Eppendorf Research plus single-channel pipette, fixed, 200 µL, yellow, 3124000083
A fixed-volume pipette has only one value, and that is exactly what its usefulness is based on: the Eppendorf Research plus for 200 µL always dispenses this volume. It cannot be adjusted and therefore cannot be changed by accident. The pipette is mechanical, works with an air cushion and is fully autoclavable. The colour code yellow indicates the matching tip, namely epT.I.P.S. 2 to 200 µL.When a fixed volume makes senseA fixed value is worthwhile for work steps that never change: the same addition to every preparation, the same amount of buffer in every vessel. 2 to 200 µL belongs to the colour code yellow. It is possible to return to the factory adjustment without calibration.Typical applicationsAlways the same addition of 200 µL to many vesselsStandard and control solutions with a fixed preparation volumeReaction mixtures in which a reagent is always added in the same amountRoutine protocols in which the volume is specifiedWorkstations where several fixed-volume pipettes stand side by side in the standAutoclaving and resistanceThe entire pipette may go into the autoclave at 121 °C and 1 bar for 20 minutes. Eppendorf Research plus single-channel pipette, variable, 0.5–10 µL, medium grey, 3123000020
The Eppendorf Research plus for 0.5 to 10 µL is a mechanical single-channel pipette with adjustable volume. The volume is selected in steps of 0.01 µL and read on the four-digit volume display. The colour code medium grey belongs to the matching tip, namely epT.I.P.S. 0.1 to 20 µL.Setting the volumeVolume selection, pipetting and tip ejection are handled by separate controls. The pipette works with an air cushion. The smallest adjustable step is 0.01 µL. Anyone who pipettes preparations in many different volumes manages with an adjustable-volume pipette and does not need a set of fixed-volume pipettes.Tips and colour codeAccording to Eppendorf, the colour of the pipette corresponds to the colour of the matching epT.I.P.S. Here, this is the colour code medium grey for epT.I.P.S. 0.1 to 20 µL. Returning to the factory adjustment is possible without calibration.Typical applicationsTransferring reagents and samples into reaction vesselsPreparing dilution series with changing volumesAliquoting liquids in the range 0.5 to 10 µLMixing solutions by repeated aspiration and dispensingMethods in which the volume changes from preparation to preparationWhen choosing, it helps to look at the volume that occurs most often in daily work. If it is close to the nominal volume, the relative measurement deviation is smaller, as the table below shows.Autoclaving and resistanceThe entire pipette may go into the autoclave at 121 °C and 1 bar for 20 minutes. Disinfectants and decontamination agents are wiped off beforehand. Filter sleeve and protective filter, where present on the model, are autoclaved separately. The pipette is UV-resistant at 254 nm. According to Eppendorf, chemical resistance is high, and special lower parts are available for aggressive chemicals. The pipette is operated at +5 °C to +40 °C and 10 to 95 % relative humidity. For storage, Eppendorf specifies -5 °C to +45 °C.Technical detailsFeatureValueSeriesEppendorf Research plus, mechanicalTypeSingle-channel pipette, adjustable volumeVolume range0.5 to 10 µLStep size0.01 µLDisplayfour-digit volume displayColour codemedium greyMatching tipepT.I.P.S. 0.1 to 20 µLAutoclavablefully, 121 °C, 1 bar, 20 minutesUV resistance254 nmOperating conditions+5 °C to +40 °C, 10 to 95 % relative humidityStorage-5 °C to +45 °CStandardConformity with ISO 8655 according to EppendorfManufacturerEppendorfManufacturer number3123000020Measurement deviationsFor this pipette, Eppendorf specifies 4 test volumes.
