Bürkle foot-operated solvent pump with outlet hose and tap, 5603-3000
The Bürkle solvent pump, featuring foot operation, a discharge hose and a shut-off valve, represents a high-purity, occupational safety-optimised system solution for the contamination-free transfer and filling of organic solvents, acids, alkalis and flammable liquids from drums and large containers. In industrial production facilities, chemical laboratories and pharmaceutical filling plants, handling highly volatile or flammable media places the highest demands on explosion protection and ergonomics. Through the consistent use of chemically inert materials such as stainless steel and PTFE (Teflon), the purity of the filled media is fully preserved. For laboratory managers, health and safety officers and procurement staff in the B2B sector, this foot-operated pump offers the highest level of process reliability, as it enables precise, drip-free dosing whilst keeping the operator’s hands free to hold the target vessel. Ergonomic foot operation for maximum occupational safety The mechanical system architecture is characterised by convenient foot operation via a separate, robust foot bar. Activating the pump with the foot builds up a transient overpressure in the container, which delivers the liquid gently and evenly upwards through the riser tube. This contact-free operation offers a decisive advantage in terms of occupational safety: the operator has both hands free to position measuring cylinders, flasks or canisters precisely beneath the spout. This effectively minimises accidental spillage or dangerous splashes of corrosive chemicals during daily field use. Material inertness for high-purity media All functional components of the drum pump that come into contact with samples and media are manufactured from materials of the very highest quality. The robust immersion tube and the media-carrying valves are made of high-purity type 1.4301 (AISI 304) stainless steel, whilst all seals and the flexible outlet hose are made of chemically unrivalled PTFE. This material-science specification guarantees universal resistance to highly aggressive organic solvents such as acetone, ethanol, methanol or toluene. As the pump is designed to be completely free of lubricants or plastics containing plasticisers, high-purity sample quality is permanently guaranteed without any cross-contamination from the materials. Gas-tight seal and controlled drainage of residual quantities The Bürkle solvent pump is securely and airtightly fixed in the container’s bunghole via a highly stable drum coupling. This gas-tight system seal reliably prevents harmful solvent vapours from entering the ambient air and the breathing zone of laboratory staff during the pumping process. The flexible, 1.2-metre-long PTFE outlet hose is fitted with a precision stainless steel shut-off valve. This valve allows for absolutely precise, drip-free dispensing of even the smallest volumes. Thanks to the infinitely variable height-adjustable drum thread, the pump’s immersion depth can be perfectly adapted to the specific container geometry, ensuring excellent drainage of residual quantities. Bürkle, Mini solvent pump, 1.8 l/min, GL45 connection, #5603-4000
Mini Solvent Pump | Safe dispensing of small quantities The Mini Solvent Pump is an extremely high-quality hand pump for small containers such as bottles, canisters and containers up to approx. 10 litres. For the safe dispensing and dosing of solvents and highly flammable liquids. Simple principle – great results The hand pump operates on the overpressure principle. Pressing the pump ball builds up overpressure inside the container, which forces the liquid out. This ensures that only the hose, feed tube and spout come into contact with the liquid being dispensed. A pressure relief valve protects the solvent pump against excessive pressure build-up – for example, due to direct sunlight – ensuring safety. High-quality materials All parts of this hand pump that come into contact with the medium are made from high-quality, inert materials – PTFE and stainless steel (1.4301, 1.4404) – which are characterised by their excellent chemical resistance. The Mini solvent pump is therefore particularly well suited for use with high-purity liquids and highly flammable media, e.g. acetone, isopropanol, ethanol, methanol, etc. Filling in potentially explosive atmospheres The supplied earthing cable can be easily connected to the solvent pump via a spade connector; this dissipates electrostatic charges, allowing flammable media to be dispensed safely. Flexible in use The solvent pump can be used to fill from a wide variety of container sizes. The flexible PTFE hose, which draws the liquid from the container, can be cut to any length. This enables the container to be emptied completely, even in the case of bottles and canisters with a domed base. The hand pump has a standard GL 45 connection thread. However, with the appropriate thread adaptors (accessories), it can be easily adapted for use with containers featuring S 40, GL 38 or GL 32 thread sizes. Precise dispensing of the liquid The self-closing spout (with auto-stop function) on the Mini solvent pump enables absolutely precise dispensing, with no dripping whatsoever. Thanks to the simple dosing mechanism, even the smallest containers, such as test tubes, can be filled without any problems. A hose (internal Ø 6 mm) can be optionally attached to the spout, allowing safe filling even into containers situated further away. Perfectly balanced The Mini solvent pump is particularly compact and very well balanced, enabling tilt-free dispensing even from small containers. Robust and durable Thanks to its robust design and high-quality materials, the durable Mini solvent pump enables consistently safe and clean filling in the simplest and most convenient way. Ideal for 1–5 l containers GL 45 connection thread Parts in contact with the medium made from PTFE and stainless steel (1.4301, 1.4404) PTFE hose (6x8 mm), 0.4 m Includes 2 m earthing cable Adapters for S 40, GL 38 and GL 32 available as accessories Sterility: No
