The IKA T 25 digital ULTRA-TURRAX is regarded as the industry standard amongst high-performance dispersers for volumes ranging from 1 to 2,000 ml (H₂O). This ‘workhorse’ of laboratory technology combines high speeds with robust control electronics to deliver reproducible results even during demanding emulsification and homogenisation tasks. Thanks to the vast range of compatible dispersing tools (S 25 series), the instrument covers applications ranging from wastewater analysis and the homogenisation of tissue samples to the production of rheological emulsions.

Speed stability and shear energy

Electronic speed control is crucial for consistent product quality. The T 25 digital maintains the set speed (3,000 – 25,000 rpm) largely constant, even when the viscosity of the medium changes. This enables high circumferential speeds at the rotor, which are necessary for achieving fine particle sizes (high shear input). The current speed is clearly displayed on the LED display on the front panel, which facilitates precise adjustment and data logging.

Safety and system integration

The unit is designed for continuous use and features electronic overload protection, which switches off the motor in the event of blockages or thermal overload. The integrated mounting arm (diameter 13 mm) allows the T 25 to be securely mounted on all standard laboratory stands. Special seals and tools are available for use in closed systems, enabling operation under vacuum or pressure.
